On Saturday the 25th March Sophie and I set out to film the introduction of ZOSIL, along with AGOR and ANIDONE shots. Costumes donned, fake fur applied we were set to film; the weather was gorgeous and the lighting perfect. Unfortunately our fortune ended there. Camera on, live view.. ah .. no SD card. Our efforts to barter an SD card from walkers were to no avail, and the once glorious sunshine was beginning to set. Last resort, with the easiest removed costume, Sophie took my credit card and sprinted the 3 mile round trip to Tesco's.
In the end the footage we came away with was surprisingly good, so despite a minor mishap, it was not a wasted trip.
We did however change the script a little, as William Spence (playing Zosil) found a handy boy size cave. This turned out a great way to introduce his character. We filmed a variety of shots of him in this cave, my favourite being a rack focus shot, of firstly fern, and the characters legs.
